Recently, I was speaking with some of my friends on that always lovable issue: entertainment and our (pop) culture. It seemed to me that nearly all of them put too much emphasis on the negative side of entertainment. When I asked what they thought the ideal solution to this problem of an entertainment addicted culture would be, the response I received was to the effect of “If only we could focus less on entertainment, and more on the serious issues at hand in the world. Entertainment is such a distraction to a large portion of our culture that it is harmful.”

Now ask yourself the question, are these two sentences true?
