This week, Ann Coulter continues her defence of McCarthy against George Clooney and his loons at Hollywood. It’s a very good read. You learn what “debriefing” means in Soviet, always a good thing to know.
Can’t post much else, since I have to clean.

That’s right. Don’t exclude anyone this holiday by saying ‘Merry Christmas’ or ‘Happy Hannukah.’ There is a perfectly good, inclusive alternative to such catchphrases, plus this one retains the identity of each holiday recognizably and is very easy to say. Rmeember to always use the phrase ‘Happy Chrismahanakwanzadan!’ when greeting your friends this holiday season. It’ll make everybody feel good, especially whacko liberal Senators and the ACLU. We don’t want those people angry, now do we? ‘Happy Chrismahanakwanzadan!’ Remember it! It’ll make everybody feel all warm and politically correct inside.
And also remember this holiday season, please remember to punish all your local evil capitalistic oil industries with profit taxes! They don’t deserve such obscene profits that they got through price gouging. What is price gouging? Oh, we don’t really know, but it sure ticks people off when we say it! It’s really cool how all those peasants down there jump and grab pitchforks when we say it. It’s so funny. They hop like bunny rabbits, and then they let us take their money away from them. Ha! Look, they did it again! But really, that money should go to the politicians who will find much more useful, fair, and efficient ways to spend it. Like on extremely valuable public projects in Alaska. It’s a shame that bridge got defunded, but hey! That money can be spent in an even better way, you know?
And also remember to not spend, invest, or save wisely this holiday season, but to take that money out of your wallet and make a nice donation to your hardworking, morally upright representatives in Congress. You’re helping the nation when you do so! Thanks!
Happy Chrismahanakwanzadan!

Thought this was interesting:
The military has unveiled a non-lethal laser weapon, named the PHASR, that emits a…laser…beam…that is designed to temporarily enemy targets without causing any permanent damage. Note to all maniacs and sci-fi geeks: this does not use a high-powered laser to vaporize things and give people gruesome, painful deaths. However, the military hasn’t released any other information, other than it exists. We don’t know how it works or what it does exactly, except that it does not use a high-powered laser to vaporize things and give people gruesome, painful deaths. (Drat!)
Of course, there is some sort of regulation on this from the UN, of all places. Apparently the laser weapon has to comply with UN regulations on blinding laser weapons. Specifically, the 1995 UN convention called the Protocol on Blinding Laser Weapons, which banned blinding laser weapons. Now, it strikes me as funny that the UN has time to address evil blinding laser weapons by the US military, but somehow is too busy or just wants to ignore evil despotic rulers that oppress and mass-murder their own people, want to find yet more ways to oppress and mass-murder their own people, and bribe certain members of the UN Security Council shamelessly. Wait, I just answered my own question. Drat again!
Though I do want to ask why exactly are we so concerned about permanent eye damage to our enemies when those enemies have no qualms about dropping nuclear bombs on major cities.
That weapon seems a little big, though…

Ann Coulter posted her latest column this morning about the laughable Libby indictment, the Alito nomination, and the art of sticking forks into ones own head without realizing it. Anyways, the column is here.
Aaron Brown’s been given the boot at CNN, apparently a ‘mutual decision,’ the network said. Whatever that means. The thing is, I pretty much have no idea who Aaron Brown is, since I don’t watch CNN, and haven’t in all my short years. I know who Chris Matthews is. And Bill O’Reilly. And Paula Zhan. And Hannity and Colmes. And Neal Cavuto. Believe it or not, I rarely watch Fox either. But who the heck is this Brown guy? I don’t know. I don’t know who watches CNN anymore. But CNN sure is trying to reinvent itself, and we all know how such reinvention efforts conclude. Anderson Cooper (who?) has taken over for Brown on his show ‘Anderson Cooper 360’, and Wolf Blitzer will also take a bigger role in. Said Jon Klein of CNN about the new schedule:
“It gives us a four-hour block of real news and information, and you cannot find four hours that will make for a more satisfying meal than that on television,” Klein said.
Okay, CNN. Go ahead and remake your schedule. Just remember I still won’t watch it.

Paul Shanklin made a parody a while ago that had the announcer saying: ‘The United Liberal Journalists of America: Consistently Reporting the News…that we agree with.’
Well, Michelle Malkin points out how shamelessly the New York Times follows this motto, much against the motto it displays on its first page.
Shameless. And I have to read the New York Times for my Political Science class. sigh I’d much prefer the Wall Street Journal.

Conservatives enthusiastic about Alito
This morning, praise keeps rolling in from the right side of the isle supporting Alito, while from the lift comes whining and muttered threats of filibuster. Just what a conservative loves to hear on a judicial nominee, cheering Republicans and booing Democrats. And to top it all aff the “gang of 14” or “mod squad” is said to be breaking up. When Democrats like Sen. Barbara Boxer started throwing out quotes like,”The filibuster’s on the table,” right wing members of the “mod squad” such as Sen. Mike DeWine began to pull out.
“If someone would filibuster … I would be prepared to vote to change the rules,” said Sen. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio.
DeWine is one of the 14 centrist senators that Democrats need to sustain a filibuster of a Supreme Court nominee. Without the group’s seven Republicans, Democrats would not be able to prevent Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., from abolishing judicial filibusters and confirming judges with just the Senate’s 55-member Republican majority.
The Democrats are on a downhill slide and the Republican leadership is getting ready for any desperate actions the liberals might throw at them.
Sen. Bill Frist said he’s ready to move against judicial filibusters, using what Republicans call the “constitutional option,” if Democrats force him to. “If a filibuster comes back, I’m not going to hesitate,” he told “The Tony Snow Show” on Fox News.
What better way to start a day in Washington?
